Folio is designed with privacy in mind. All data you enter in the app — including books, reading sessions, notes, and settings — is stored locally on your device only. We do not collect, transmit, or store any personal information on our servers.

2. Data Stored on Your Device

The following data is stored locally using Apple's SwiftData framework:

This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly back it up through iCloud (if enabled in your iOS settings).

3. In-App Purchases

Folio offers an optional Pro subscription via Apple's App Store. All payment processing is handled entirely by Apple. We do not collect or store any payment information. For details on Apple's data handling, please refer to Apple's Privacy Policy.

4. Third-Party Services

Folio uses the Google Books API to search for books. When you perform a search, your query is sent to Google's servers to retrieve results. Please refer to Google's Privacy Policy for information on how they handle this data. No personal or identifying information is included in these requests.

5. Analytics and Tracking

Folio does not use any analytics tools, advertising SDKs, or tracking technologies. We do not track your behavior within the app, and we do not share any data with advertisers or third parties.

6. Children's Privacy

Folio is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
